The map divides the whole region west/east, with a generous overlap and Manaus shown on both sides. Relief shading with spot heights present the topography, with graphics for marshlands and swamps. Numerous tributaries are named and a large number of local settlements are shown on the map. National parks and other protected area as well as Indian Reservations are marked.
Road network distinguishes between local highways in good and poor condition and includes partially surfaced roads and cart tracks. The map also indicates airports and local airfields and highlights various places of interest. Latitude and longitude margin ticks are at 2° intervals. The map has no index of localities.
